Growing your team

Your first star hire will likely be an Administrator – When a couple takes on a Zones franchise this role will sometimes get shared between both partners. As your business expands, it's wise to bring in a dedicated person to handle this role.

Next in line will be an experienced Project Manager who serves as the face of your business on the frontline. They'll work closely with subcontractors, contractors, and customers alike to ensure projects are delivered within the designated timeframe and budget.

As for the rest of your team, including designers, estimators, and subcontractors such as builders, painters, and swimming pool installers, they will be contracted project-by-project. Over time, the team and neighbouring franchisees will provide support in establishing and nurturing these vital relationships. Third party design and estimation options are also available to facilitate your onboarding and accelerate your startup.

Subcontractors enjoy the Zones Landscaping model! Instead of juggling their own sales, marketing, workflow, and invoicing, they can focus on what they love most. Zones takes care of the rest. Being part of the Zones network means enjoying a smoother and more dependable workflow, while still having the flexibility to take on their independent projects or indulge in that much-deserved annual fishing trip.

Collaborating with Zones frees contractors from the hassle of chasing leads or worrying about future jobs. Our distinctive collaborative territory model further simplifies the process of building and maintaining a construction team. In several states, a builder's license is required to operate, and Zones assists new franchisees in those states by guiding them through the necessary steps prior to commencing operations.
